Manufacturers require your equipment to be inspected on an annual basis or the warranty can be void? This especially applies to items like ceiling or wall hung basketball systems. All attachment points must be checked, cables inspected for wear, pulleys must be in line and functioning properly. Keeping up with gymnasium equipment can be a difficult task.

While the CSA provides standards for many products used in sport facilities, there is no regulatory agency who oversees inspections for sport courts and gym equipment (basketball backstops, divider curtains and bleachers), leaving many facility managers to manage risk on their own.
